FORT KNOX, Ky. –
Staff Sgt. Joey Bryant, a native of Sawyerville, Alabama, serves as a Recruiter at the South-Central Chaplain Recruiting Station in Grand Prairie, Texas. He was recently recognized by the leadership of U.S. Army Recruiting Command as one of the standout performers in the command.
“The camaraderie, the chance to make a difference, and the honor of defending the nation's freedom are powerful motivators,” Bryant said.
Bryant joined the Army as a Religious Affairs Specialist. He wanted to serve his country, travel and provide for his family.
Bryant looks forward to working alongside the servicemembers that he recruited and to hear their experiences. One of his dreams is to see them grow and succeed in their careers. Knowing he played a part in their Army journey.
“USAREC provides a distinctive opportunity to develop a broad set of skills that offer both personal and professional growth, Bryant said. “In this career, I have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the Army and the individuals recruited. “
Bryant has earned his associate's degree in general studies from American Military University in 2022 and a year later he was recognized by USAREC as Top 13 producer for the 1st quarter of Fiscal Year 2023.
“I attribute my success to many people, but my grandfather stands out as a key influence in my life,” Bryant said. “He taught me principles to live by, such as working hard to achieve my goals, staying committed to my values, and always giving my best effort. His wisdom and guidance have shaped the person I am today, and I carry those lessons with me in everything I do. I'm also grateful to the mentors, friends, and colleagues who have supported and encouraged me along the way.”
When not recruiting Bryant enjoys working out and volunteering. One of his goals is to finish his bachelor's in management with a focus on talent acquisition and retention.
