FORT KNOX, Ken. –
3rd Recruiting Brigade Commander Col. Whitney Jensen and senior enlisted leader, Command Sgt. Maj. Hilda Garcia, recognized the achievements of their Recruiters, Recruiting Stations, Companies, and Battalions for Fiscal Year 2024 by honoring the top performers at the Fort Knox Saber and Quill on Sept. 26, 2024.
Receiving the “Station Commander of the Year” award was Sgt. 1st Class Kyle Hill. Hill represents Warren Station, Warren Company, and Cleveland Battalion.
Recognized with the “First Sergeant of the Year” award was 1st Sgt. Billy Joe Norman. Norman represents the St. Paul Company, Minneapolis Battalion.
Recognized as the “AGR Soldier of the Year” was Sgt. 1st Class Eric Smith. Smith recruits out of the Roseville Station, St. Paul Company, Minneapolis Battalion.
Sgt. 1st Class Shayne Hayes received “Regular Army Soldier of the Year” honors. Hayes is stationed at Bloomington Station, Evansville Company, Indianapolis Battalion.
The “Company of the Year” award was delivered to CPT Torres Carrasquillo and 1st Sgt. Phillip Davis from Miami Valley Recruiting Company, Columbus Battalion.
Finally, the top “Battalion of the Year” trophy was earned by the Columbus Recruiting Battalion led by Lt. Col. Harold Watson II and Command Sgt. Maj. James Sawyer.
