FORT KNOX, Ky. –
Sgt. 1st Class Jordan Soriano, a native of Las Vegas, Nevada, serves as a recruiter with the 6th Medical Recruiting Battalion in Las Vegas, Nevada. Soriano joined the Army as a combat medic specialist because it put him in a position to make a real impact on the welfare of his fellow Soldiers.
He serves because, “The Army has given me so many opportunities that would otherwise not be possible,” Soriano said. “I continue to serve to give back, and I volunteered for recruiting to give others those same opportunities.”
Soriano sought to break the poverty cycle in his family, and the Army was the ladder to give him and his family a better future.
When not recruiting, he enjoys videography, weightlifting, and reading and writing. He earned his Bachelor of Science in National Security with a concentration in intelligence and counterterrorism from Excelsior College in 2020.
USAREC provides him the opportunity to give others a chance, so they can reach a level of success that would not otherwise be possible. His success is attributed to those who helped him along the way.
“If not for the continuous support of my wife, Analise, I would not be where I am today,” Soriano said. “I am only successful because I have her unconditional support.”
