Soldiers from the Army Warrior Fitness Team captured top honors at the Top of the Box Fitness Competition held here Aug. 28-30.
The competition was the team’s first event since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
Capt. Rachel Schreiber and Sgt. Jacob Pfaff both qualified for the 2020 USA Functional Fitness Nationals by capturing first place in their divisions. Maj. Allison Brager brought home second place in the Master’s division, and Capt. Kasandra Clark took third in the Elite Female division. Capt. Brian Harris tied for third in his division but ended up finishing in fourth after the tie breaker.
The team not only competed; they worked the crowd between events engaging spectators at a booth shared with the Clarksville Recruiting Company. Many of the spectators stopped by to learn more about the team and the opportunities the Army has to offer.
Next week, Army Warrior Fitness Team athletes head to Cedar City, Utah, to compete in the 2020 Iron Games.
