Future Soldier Update

By USAREC G3

U.S. Army Recruiting Command is making adjustments to the Future Soldier Training Program to limit in-person requirements.

For the time being, there will be no in-person Future Soldier functions. Recruiters will host virtual meetings and tutorial sessions for those future Soldiers needing assistance with their Basic Training Task List.

All initial orientations for future Soldiers will be conducted virtually where possible and the OPAT requirements are temporarily suspended.

All Future Soldier Physical Training sessions are temporarily suspended. Recruiters will emphasize the fact that physical fitness is an individual responsibility and strongly recommend the future Soldiers continue to physically prepare themselves for Initial Military Training.

For new future Soldiers, training packages on Physical Fitness and the Performance Triad are available on the Programs IKROme page, under Future Soldier Program/Future Soldier Training. The command is working with Human Resources Command to have these classes added to the Future Soldier Training System.

All future Soldiers must be screened for COVID-19 using the COVID-19 (coronavirus) questionnaire telephonically 15 days prior, three days (72 hours) prior, and one day (24 hours) prior to being transported to Military Entrance Processing Station.
