U.S. Army Recruiting Command implements quarterly incentives

The U.S. Army Recruiting Command has amped up its awards program adding quarterly recognition ceremonies with incentives for recruiters this year.

Recruiting goes beyond phone calls and paperwork: it’s volunteer teaching in schools, it’s coaching youth sports teams, and talking to parents to ease their concerns about Army life for their children.  A top priority for the command team is to reward recruiters for all they do.

“Taking care of Soldiers is not just a fun day on organizational day,” said Command Sgt. Maj. Tabitha Gavia.

The command team has taken many steps to improve its processes and ways to recognize recruiters for a job well done.

“I want to be a part of an organization where people are fighting to get into, not out,” Maj. Gen. Frank Muth said during a recent virtual town hall.   

The award categories and criteria are as follows:

 

USAREC All Star Award

Soldiers who completed the most recruiter actions that lead to action points before the 50-point cap restriction each quarter will be awarded the USAREC All Star Award.

1st Quarter Fiscal Year 2019: Miniature Army helmet

2nd Quarter Fiscal Year 2019: Encased Army basketball

3rd Quarter Fiscal Year 2019: Army hockey stick

4th Quarter Fiscal Year 2019: Army baseball bat

 

USAREC Brigade and Battalion of Excellence (Unit Awards)

The USAREC command team will recognize the Brigade of Excellence, the top Battalion of Excellence within each brigade, and the top Company of Excellence in the Special Operations Recruiting Battalion.

Top brigade: Most companies achieving Beat Your Best.

Top battalion: Most stations achieving Beat Your Best.

Top medical battalion: Top area of concentration closure and percentage of mission.

Top SORB company: Achieve 100% net volume active duty enlisted mission, 100% assigned non-board categories, and 90% combined and warrant officer precision mission.

Awards

Brigade: Trophy, four-day pass for all brigade staff, soldiers assigned to brigade headquarters will receive 50 additional gold badge points.

Battalion: Trophy, four-day pass for all battalion staff, soldiers assigned to battalion headquarters will receive 50 additional gold badge points.

 

USAREC Commanding General Special Recognition Ceremony:

The CG Special Recognition Ceremony will be held quarterly to recognize recruiters who accomplished the most recruiter actions that lead to action points before the 50-point cap restriction.

 

1st Quarter Fiscal Year 2019: Top two recruiters within each brigade were recognized by the Secretary of the Army, Dr. Mark T. Esper.

2nd Quarter Fiscal Year 2019: Top 2 stations in each brigade will be recognized by the Sergeant Major of the Army Daniel Dailey.

3rd Quarter Fiscal Year 2019: Top 2 companies within each brigade will be recognized by the Army Chief of Staff, Gen. Mark A. Milley.

4th Quarter Fiscal Year 2019: Top 2 battalions in USAREC will be recognized by the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Commanding General, Gen. Stephen J. Townsend.
