National Guard Applicants General Information On The Warrant Officer Program
US Army Warrant Officers are self aware and adaptive technical experts, combat leaders, trainers, and advisors who specialize, throughout an entire career, in a specific technical area. The US Army Warrant Officer cohort comprises less than three percent of the total US Army strength. Although small in size, the level of responsibility is immense and only the very best are selected to become US Army Warrant Officers. The Warrant Officer serves as the technical and tactical experts, as the leader of a team, and are highly trained in their field.
As a technical Warrant Officer, you will be both a technical and tactical expert. If you have an interest in the field of Aviation, the Aviation Warrant Officer career path may be the best way to become an Aviator in the Army National Guard.

Where to Start:
You must be enlisted in the Army National Guard or hold a qualifying Active Duty Army position to apply to be a Warrant Officer,or have served as a Warrant Officer previously. If you have never served, contact your local Army National Guard Recruiter.

Once your Predetermination Packet is approved, you will attend Warrant Officer Candidate School (WOCS). Contact your Warrant Officer Strength Manager about the Federal and State Warrant Officer Candidate Schools.
