Command Sgt. Maj. Louis C. Sidney, Jr is a native of Houston, TX. After completing BCT at Ft Sill, OK and AIT at Ft Benjamin Harrison, IN in 1993, he was awarded MOS 73C (Finance Specialist). In 2004, he was reclassified to MOS 79R (Recruiter).

His awards include the Meritorious Service Medal (5th award), the Army Commendation Medal (4th award), the Joint Service Achievement Medal, the Army Achievement Medal (3rd award), the Good Conduct Medal (9th award), the National Defense Service Medal (1 gold star), the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon (numeral 5). Sidney has earned the Gold Recruiter Badge, the Recruiter Ring, and has been inducted into the Glen E. Morrell Order of Recruiting Excellence.
