Welcome! Congratulations on your assignment to the Phoenix Recruiting Battalion. As the Battalion Commander I would like to welcome you and your family to our organization. We are 1 of 6 Battalions within the 5th Recruiting Brigade.
Our mission is to recruit high quality men and women into the Regular Army and Army Reserve in the Arizona and New Mexico region. I hope that every day you are able to come to work knowing that you make a difference in the lives of many of our Nation’s finest people, and I ask you to perform your duties at the highest level in keeping with the Army Values of: Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity and Personal Courage.
Arizona and New Mexico are great places to call home. They offer an array of beautiful scenery, social, commercial, education services and exciting activities for service members and their families.
I also encourage you to get involved in your Family Readiness Group and all the community opportunities available to you and your family during your time here. Many resources are available to make your transition as smooth as possible. Recruiting duty places unusual and unexpected demands on the Army family. As the Battalion’s Soldier & Family Assist
Duty Family Member Dental Plan (United Concordia). As part of your inprocessing into the battalion, I will provide you with information regarding the above programs.
If you would like a SITES Book to the base nearest your duty station, please contact me and I will be happy to send one. The SITES book provides a great deal of information regarding housing, medical facilities, commissary, etc. You may also obtain SITES information from https://www.dmdc.osd.mil/swg/owa. Additionally, I can provide you with information concerning Lifeworks, Family Readiness Groups, and Army Family Team Building. (There are also links for these programs on this site.)
