The 'Bulldog' Battalion
The Raleigh Recruiting Battalion, nicknamed the "Bulldogs," consists of the headquarters located at 3117 Poplarwood Court, Raleigh, North Carolina, along with six recruiting companies and 36 recruiting stations staffed by both Soldiers and civilian personnel. Battalion recruiters are responsible for enlisting young men and women into both the active-duty Army and the Army Reserve.
"Bulldog" Battalion recruiters cover approximately two-thirds of North Carolina from the Virginia border to the South Carolina border, from the Atlantic Ocean coastline to the Triad region at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Our six recruiting company headquarters in North Carolina are located in Fayetteville, Greenville, Raleigh, Winston-Salem, Wilmington, and Charlotte. Each company consists of five to eight recruiting stations.
There are two Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) located within the boundaries of the "Bulldog" Battalion - Raleigh MEPS & Charlotte MEPS.
Raleigh Battalion is assigned to the 2d Recruiting Brigade, headquartered in Huntsville, Alabama and the U.S. Army Recruiting Command, located at Fort Knox, Kentucky.
