History
The Mid-Atlantic Recruiting Battalion was formally known as the Philadelphia Recruiting Battalion and was located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In September 1997, the Philadelphia battalion was redesignated as the Mid-Atlantic Recruiting Battalion and relocated from the US Customs Building in Philadelphia, PA, to the Naval Air Engineering Station in Lakehurst, New Jersey. After several realignments, the BN solidified its recruiting region to cover the entire state of New Jersey and the greater Philadelphia area.
