NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. - Sgt. 1st Class Kaishaun Waller, a proud native of Baltimore, Maryland, serves as a Recruiter at Reading Recruiting Station, Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. He was recently recognized by Maj. Gen. Johnny Davis, Commanding General of the U.S. Army Recruiting Command for his outstanding performance.
“Changing people’s lives and providing them with an opportunity to become something bigger than themselves, it’s not every day you get to help someone land their dream job or completely change their life,” said Waller.
Waller originally joined the Army as a Culinary Specialist and achieved distinction in winning the Philip A. Connelly Award. The award’s purpose is to honor exceptional performance while maintaining high standards within the culinary arts.
During his time in Afghanistan, he earned recognition for his remarkable service and dedication receiving The Meritorious Service Medal for his performance.
Outside of his recruiting duties, Waller is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity while balancing life as a father to his 4-year-old son. His long-term goal is to become a Warrant Officer and aspires to open his own restaurant.
