FORT KNOX, Ky. –
Staff Sgt. Zachary Clark, a native of St. Louis, Missouri, serves as a Recruiter with the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne) at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. USAREC leadership recently recognized him as a standout performer in the command.
“I serve in the U.S. Army because it has become my second family,” Clark said. “I've had the privilege of meeting unique and incredible individuals I wouldn't have encountered otherwise.”
Clark joined the Army as a UH-60 helicopter repairer. He decided on this job because aviation has always been an area of interest for him, and what he learns throughout his career can be carried over to the civilian sector.
“Working at USAREC, particularly in the Special Operations Recruiting Battalion (SORB) for the 160th SOAR, offers me a unique opportunity,” Clark said. “I can assist Soldiers in getting the most out of their military careers, primarily by recruiting for our Special Operations Aviation Regiment.”
When not recruiting, Clark enjoys sports, primarily baseball and fitness. He looks forward to obtaining his master’s degree.
“I owe my success to several key factors. First and foremost, my mom has been a constant source of encouragement and motivation throughout my life,” Clark said. “My wife Denise and our children, Cameron and Mackenzie, provide me with purpose and unwavering support through all the challenges the Army presents.”
