In addition to the current enlistment bonuses available, the Army also offers opportunities for Soldiers to attend college for free.
The Post-9/11 GI Bill provides Soldiers and veterans with up to 36 months of education benefits, including full tuition and fees, a housing allowance, and $1,000 per year for books. Soldiers are eligible to receive the Post-9/11 GI Bill after completing 90 days of active duty service.
Another education opportunity for Soldiers currently serving is the Tuition Assistance program. This program provides Soldiers with up to $4,000 per year to attend civilian education programs.
