FORT KNOX, Ky. –
Top individuals and units received recognition from U.S. Army Recruiting Command’s senior leaders during a ceremony here July 29.
During this week’s Commanders Conference with the brigade command teams, Maj. Gen. Kevin Vereen and Command Sgt. Maj. John Foley highlighted the USAREC Best Warriors, the top recruiting noncommissioned officers for 3rd quarter, and the top units for the first half of fiscal 2021 (October 2020-March 2021).
Because of the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, the command team decided earlier this year to reset all unit missions as of Phase Line April. Unit awards for the second half of fiscal 2021 will be given in October during the Annual Leaders Training Conference.
“You all have been instrumental in keeping us ahead, keeping us where we need to ensure our Army remains ready,” Vereen told the crowd at the ceremony. “The Army truly relies on every single one of our recruiting noncommissioned officers to get after our mission. Every single one of you all and your peers are extremely vital to the success of the Army.”
