The San Antonio Recruiting Battalion's mission is to recruit qualified men and women from south and central Texas and southern New Mexico, in order to provide the strength needed to uphold and defend Freedom and Democracy.

San Antonio Battalion Shines at National Recruiting Awards

The San Antonio Recruiting Battalion showcased its exceptional talent at the Top Recruiter ceremony on Jan. 22, 2026, with four of the five honored Soldiers from 5th Recruiting Brigade hailing from its unit.

Staff Sgt. Edward Bringas, a Bayamon, Puerto Rico native, serves as an Army Reserve Recruiter with the San Antonio Southeast Recruiting Station in San Antonio, Texas. Bringas was recognized by the U.S. Army Recruiting Command leadership as the Army Reserve Recruiter of the Year for 2024.
