Road to becoming an Army Ranger
The 5th Ranger Training Battalion hosts an open house April 26 2025, at Camp Frank D. Merrill in Dahlonega, Georgia. The event consisted of a mountaineering, hand-to-hand combat and reptile demonstration, as well as static displays and a Rangers in Action demonstration. Col. Gerry Jackson was the commencement speaker at Escambia County High School's 2024 graduation on May 16, 2024 in Atmore, AL. Col. Jackson attended the same high school over 3 decades ago and was honored to return with words of inspiration for the graduates.
May 21, 2025 - As graduation caps fly and students celebrate their academic milestones this season, now is the time to decide the next chapter. The Army offers bonuses for individuals who have college credit. Why not receive a monetary reward for all your hard work?

Duty Station of Choice puts you in control
Paratroopers assigned to Legion Company, 1st Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade conduct an air assault mission utilizing a Hellenic Army CH-47D Chinook helicopter and crew as a part of Operation Legion Olympus 25 in Xanthi, Greece, March 8, 2025. 

The 173rd Airborne Brigade is the U.S. Army's Contingency Response Force in Europe, providing rapidly deployable forces to the United States European, African, and Central Command areas of responsibility. Forward deployed across Italy and Germany, the brigade routinely trains alongside NATO allies and partners to build partnerships and strengthen the alliance.
