6th Medical Recruiting Battalion Commander

Lt. Col. Davin Bridges

LTC Davin E. Bridges was born in Dallas, Texas. He graduated from Northwestern State University with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Chemistry in 1997, graduated with a Master’s of Science in Chemistry from McNeese State University in 2000, and graduated from Capella University with his Doctorate of Public Health in 2015 (emphasis in Leadership and Health Advocacy). He was commissioned as a Medical Service Corps First Lieutenant in 2005.

His military assignments include: Brigade Environmental/Engineering Officer, 94th Brigade Support Battalion, 4 the Brigade, 10th Mountain Division; Assistant S3, 94th Brigade Support Battalion, 4th Brigade, 10th MTD DIV; Deployment Environmental Surveillance Program Manager, Public Health Center Region- Europe; 61st Medical Detachment (Preventive Medicine) Commander (unit awarded The Surgeon General Excalibur Award), 86th Combat Support Hospital; Chief, Environmental Health, Eisenhower Medical Center; Chief Special Functions Team, Environmental Science/Engineering Officer, 82nd Civil Affairs Battalion, 85th Civil Affairs Brigade; and currently the TRADOC Command Surgeon Executive Officer. LTC Bridges was primary selected for command of the 6th Medical Recruiting Battalion, Las Vegas, NV.

LTC Bridges’ awards and decorations include Meritorious Service Medal with two oak leaves,
Army Accommodation Medal with 2 oak leaves, Afghanistan Campaign Medal with one oak
leaf, Naval Reserves Meritorious Serve Medal, Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medical, National Defense Service Medal, Army Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism, and the Overseas Service Ribbon. LTC Bridges received a Meritorious Unit Citation for his participation in Operation Enduring Freedom while serving in Afghanistan in 2006. He graduated commandants list from Principles of Military Preventive Medicine School, Distinguish Honor Graduate from Air Assault School, Rappel Master School, Pathfinder School, and received the Expert Field Medical Badge. He is also the recipient of the Order of Military Medical Merit.

LTC Bridges is a graduate from the Army Basic Officer Course, Army Principles of Preventive Medicine Course, Mortuary Affairs Course, Field Management of Chemical and Biological Casualties Course, Army Preventive Medicine Course, Captains Career Course, DOD Pest Management Course, Preventive Medicine Senior Leaders Course, Food and Water Risk Assessment Course, Security Assistant Management Course, Defense Support and Civil Authority
Level II course, and Residence Graduate of the Army’s Command and General Staff College.
LTC Bridges is married to Judie Hunter-Bridges and they have three sons, Dallin (25), Jordan (12), and Caleb (8).
