Col. Whitney O. Jensen

COL Whitney Jensen is a native of Gilroy, California. She enlisted into the U.S. Army Reserve on the Army’s Birthday, June 14, 1996. A graduate of the University of South Alabama, she commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Military Police Corps in 1999. For the last two years, she served with V Corps and was dual-hatted as the V Corps Chief of Protection (G34) and the V Corps Provost Marshal (PMO).

Jensen’s previous key assignments include Platoon Leader, 21st Military Police Company (Airborne), Fort Liberty, North Carolina; Commander, 529th Military Police Company (Honor Guard) Heidelberg, Germany; Task Force Biometrics Operations Officer, Combined Joint Interagency Task Force 435, Bagram, Afghanistan; Battalion S3 Operations Office and Executive Officer, 504th Military Police Battalion, Fort Lewis, Washington; Corps Planner, XVIII Airborne Corps, Fort Liberty, North Carolina; Strategy, Plans, and Policy Branch Chief, HQDA G-3/5/7 (G-34 Protection), the Pentagon; Commander, 502D Military Police Battalion (CID), Fort Campbell, Kentucky; and Commander, U.S. Army New York City Recruiting Battalion. COL Jensen has three combat deployments in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan, one combat deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, and three operational deployments in Europe. Her civilian education includes: Bachelor of Arts in Political Science; Masters of Arts in Business and Organizational Security Management; and Masters of Military Arts and Science. She is a graduate of the U.S. Army War College with a Masters Degree in Strategic Studies.

COL Jensen’s military decorations include: the Bronze Star Medal (1 OLC); Defense Meritorious Service Medal; Army Meritorious Service Medal (1 SLC); Joint Service Commendation Medal; Army Commendation Medal; Joint Service Achievement Medal; Army Achievement Medal (4 OLC); Afghanistan (3) and Iraq Campaign Medals; Global War on Terrorism and NATO Medals; Senior Parachutist and Air Assault Badges; the Army Staff and Basic Recruiter Badges.
