Lt. Col. Alan Wilson commissioned into the Army as an Infantry officer from the University of Vermont ROTC.
He served as a Heavy Weapons Platoon Leader, Company Executive Officer, and Future Operations Officer with 2-235 Airborne Infantry Regiment in 2nd Brigade of the 82nd Airborne Division.
Upon graduation from the Special Forces Qualification Course, LTC Wilson was assigned as a Special Forces Officer to 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne) serving in multiple Battalions. Wilson also served in a variety of staff positions at units including 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne), the Special Operations Joint Task Force-Operation Inherent Resolve and 1st Special Forces Command (Airborne). Prior to arriving at the U.S. Army Parachute Team, LTC Wilson served at Special Operations Command Africa in Stuttgart Germany. Wilson has multiple deployments to Iraq, Haiti, Niger, and Tajikistan in support of overseas contingency operations and humanitarian assistance operations.
