6th Recruiting Brigade Command Sergeant Major

Command Sgt. Maj. Ben Dojaquez

Command Sgt. Maj. Ben W. Dojaquez was born in Tucson, Arizona, and raised in the small town of Sonoita, Arizona. 
Dojaquez joined the Army as a Senior in High School and shipped to One Station Unit Training (OSUT) at Fort Knox, Kentucky, on 2 August 2000 where he was awarded the MOS of 19K Armor Crewmember.

Dojaquez’s previous assignments include A Co 1-35 Armor, Baumholder Germany; Headquarters and Headquarters Company, U.S. Army Armor Center, Fort Knox, KY; Tempe Recruiting Company, Phoenix Recruiting Battalion; North Bay Recruiting Company, Sacramento Recruiting Battalion; XVIII Airborne Corps, Fort Liberty, NC; Fayetteville Recruiting Company, Raleigh Recruiting Battalion; Phoenix Central Recruiting Company, Phoenix Recruiting Battalion; and the Denver  Recruiting Battalion, Harrisburg Recruiting Battalion, and most recently the New York City Recruiting Battalion.

Dojaquez has served in several duty positions throughout his  career to include, Tank Crewmember, Section Sergeant, Recruiter in Superstition Springs Recruiting Station, Station Commander of the Chandler Recruiting Station, Phoenix Battalion Master Trainer, Station Commander of the Santa Rosa Recruiting Station, Outreach NCO Fort Liberty, First Sergeant of the Fayetteville Army Recruiting Company, First Sergeant of the Phoenix Central Army Recruiting Company, Operations SGM of the Denver Recruiting Battalion, CSM of Harrisburg Recruiting Battalion, and CSM of the New York City Recruiting Battalion. Dojaquez has deployed with A CO 1-35 in support of KFOR Operations in Kosovo (2000), and in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom I & II (2003).

His military education includes all NCOPDS courses, Master Resilience Course, Equal Opportunity Course, and Station Commanders Course. He is a graduate of the United States Sergeants Major Academy, Class 69. Dojaquez holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies, a Master of Science in Leadership, and a Master of Defense and Strategic Studies. His awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal (5OLC), Army commendation Medal (3 OLC), Army Achievement Medal (7OLC), and the Gold Recruiter Badge (3 Sapphires). Dojaquez is a recipient of the Gold Recruiter Ring, and the Glen E. Morrell Award.
