U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit Instructor Training Group

Sgt. 1st Class Justin J. Bainbridge

Sgt. 1st Class Justin J. Bainbridge is a member of the Instructor Training Group with the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit, Fort Moore, Georgia.

Bainbridge graduated from Blue Mountain High School, Schuylkill Haven, Pennsylvania in 2006.  He served in the 1-509th Airborne Battalion from October 2010 until December 2012.  He served in 1-40th Cav Airborne from December 2012 until May 2016.  He served in HHC 194th Armor Brigade from May 2016 until May 2020 and has been a member of the Army Marksmanship Unit from May 2020 to present.  The following are some highlights over the course of his career.   

Bainbridge joined the Army in May 2010 and completed Basic and Cavalry Scout Training at Fort Knox, Kentucky.  He then completed the Basic Airborne Course at Fort Benning, Georgia and was assigned to D Troop, 1-509th in October 2010 where he served in every position from Driver through Team Leader. In December 2012, Bainbridge was assigned to B Troop 1-40th Cav where he served as a Team Leader and as a Squad Leader. In May of 2016, Bainbridge was assigned to HHC 194th Armor Brigade where he served as a Marksmanship Instructor. Bainbridge was assigned in May 2020 to the Instructor Training Group, USAMU 

Bainbridge’s schools include: Cavalry Scout OSUT, Basic Airborne Course, Basic Leader Course, Advanced Leader Course, the Master Marksmanship Trainer Course, Department of Homeland Security Firearm’s Instructor Course, and Department of Homeland Security Special Response Team Course. 

His awards include, Two Army Commendation Medals, Six Army Achievement Medals, and One Army Superior Unit Award, Three Army Good Conduct Medals, One Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Two Noncommissioned Officers Professional Development Ribbons, One Army Service Ribbon, and One Overseas Ribbon. He has been awarded the Basic Instructors Badge and the Parachutist Badge
