Staff Sgt. Logan Frost was born in 1991 in Anchorage, Alaska. He graduated from Chugiak High School in 2010 and joined the Army in 2011. He graduated Infantry One Station Unit Training at Fort Benning, Georgia in April 2011, and was assigned to the First Armored Division at Fort Bliss, Texas. During 2011-2012, he completed one combat deployment. He remained at Fort Bliss until 2015 when he PCS’d back to Fort Benning to be an instructor at the Marksmanship Master Trainer Course. He held this position until 2018, during which time he shot with the United States Army Marksmanship Unit’s Service Rifle Team as a pickup shooter. In 2018 he PCS’d to Joint Base Elmendorf/Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska, where he once again instructed marksmanship, this time as a member of the Army Alaska Sharpshooter Program. In 2021 he was accepted back to the USAMU Service Rifle Team and PCS’d once again back to Fort Benning.
Frost graduated from Basic Leader Course (2013), Combat Lifesaver Course (2014), Marksmanship Master Trainer Course (2015), Basic Instructor Course (2016), Army Airborne School (2017), Army Sniper School (2018), Advanced Leader Course (2018), and SHARP Foundation Training (2022).
His awards include the President’s Hundred Tab for Service Rifle, Excellence in Competition Rifleman’s Silver Badge, Excellence in Competition Pistol Bronze Badge, Army Parachutist Badge, the Combat Infantryman Badge, seven Army Commendation Medals, five Army Achievement Medals, three Army Good Conduct Medals, the National Defense Service Medal, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Medal, two Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbons, the Army Service Ribbon, the Army Overseas Service Ribbon, and the NATO Medal.
