Spc. Adam Fitzpatrick was born in Snellville, GA. and graduated from East Gaston High School of Mount Holly, NC in 2014. He enlisted in the Army in October 2021 and completed Infantry One Station Unit Training at Fort Benning, GA. After graduation, he was assigned to the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit Service Rifle Team in April 2022.
Fitzpatrick has had a distinguished shooting career prior to his arrival to the USAMU. He achieved multiple individual and team match wins in Midrange and Long-range Palma Rifle at the NRA National Matches from 2015 through 2020, as well as wins in International Fullbore in Great Britain and New Zealand as a member of the US Palma Team. Since his arrival to the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit in 2022, Fitzpatrick has earned his Distinguished Rifleman’s Badge; set a new Interservice Marine Corps Match record; was the coach and a firing member for the National record setting NRA Midrange Team Match at the 2022 NRA National Matches and won the overall Palma category; was the 2022 Longe Range National Champion and earned the President’s Hundred Tab at Camp Perry.
His military training includes the completion of Infantry One Station Unit Training, and the Combat Life Saver’s Course, earning him the MOS of 11B.
His awards include the NRA International Distinguished Rifleman’s Badge (2018), National Defense Service Medal (2022), Army Service Ribbon (2022), Global War on Terrorism Service Medal (2022), Presidents 100 Tab (2022), and Distinguished Rifleman’s Badge (2022).
