Sgt. 1st Class Jordan Hamernik, a native of Boulder, Colorado, graduated from Fairview High School in 2011. He attended the Trinidad State Junior College Gunsmithing program and graduated in 2014. He joined the Army in November 2014 and completed Basic Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Lee, Virginia. He was assigned to the USAMU Custom Firearms shop in July 2015 and currently serves as Team Chief.
Hamernik has graduated from Basic Leaders Course, Fort Benning, Georgia (2017), Bus Driver Course, Fort Benning, Georgia (2018), Combat Lifesaver Course, Fort Benning, Georgia (2019), Advanced Leaders Course, Fort Lee, Virigina (2020).
His military awards include; Army Commendation Medal; Army Achievement Medal (3); National Defense Service Medal; Army Good Conduct Medal (2); Non-Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon (2); Army Service Ribbon, and Certificates of Achievement (2).
