Staff Sgt. Rachel Tozier was born in Liberty, Missouri, and grew up in Pattonsburg, Missouri. Before joining the Army, she graduated from the University of Central Missouri with a bachelor’s degree in Finance.
She joined the Army March 6, 2017, and shipped to Basic Training at Fort Jackson. After completion of 42A (Human Resource Specialist) Advanced Individual Training in July 2017, Tozier was assigned to the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit’s Shotgun Team.
Tozier was introduced to trapshooting by her step-father in 2004. She has won numerous Amateur Trapshooting Association (ATA) awards since she began shooting, including state and national championships and high average awards above the field.
Her military awards include: Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Army Achievement Medal (3), NCO Professional Development Ribbon, Army Good Conduct Medal
