U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit Shotgun Team

Staff Sgt. Hayden Stewart

Staff Sergeant Hayden Stewart was born in Columbia, Tennessee. He joined the U.S. Army in January 2013 and shipped to One Station Unit Training at Fort Benning after graduation from Culleoka Unit School in May 2012.

After completion of Initial Entry Training in May 2013, Stewart was assigned to the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit Shotgun Team as a Skeet shooter.

Stewart was introduced to shooting by his father and has had a distinguished career as a junior shotgun shooter, earning numerous accolades in the sport of skeet shooting. In 2012, he finished in second place at the National Junior Olympics and was the second junior at the 2012 Olympic Trials. He won three gold medals and one silver medal in skeet at the Tennessee State Junior Olympics from 2008-2012.

His military awards include two Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbons, an Army Service Ribbon, one Army Commendation Medal, three Army Achievement Medals, four Army Good Conduct Medals, a National Defense Service Medal, and the Global War on Terrorism Medal.

His military schools include Basic Leader Course, Infantry Advanced Leaders Course, Combat Life Saver and Common Faculty Development Instructor Course
