U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit Shotgun Team

Staff Sgt. William Stewart

Staff Sgt. William Stewart was born in Columbia, TN. He joined the Army January 14, 2013, and shipped to OSUT at Fort Benning after graduation from Culleoka Unit School, in Columbia, TN in May 2012. After completion of initial training in May 2013, Stewart was assigned to the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit and the Shotgun team.

Stewart was introduced to shooting by his father William and has had a distinguished career as a junior shotgun shooter, earning numerous accolades in the sport of skeet shooting.

In 2012 he finished in second place at the National Junior Olympics and was the second junior at the 2012 Olympic Trials. He won three gold medals and one silver medal in skeet at the Tennessee State Junior Olympics from 2008-2012.

His military schools include Basic Leadership Course, Infantry Advanced Leadership Course, and Combat Life Saver.
