Staff Sgt. Dustan Taylor was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma, and graduated from Vandalia Christian High School in Greensboro, North Carolina. He joined the Army in 2013
and completed basic and OSUIT training at Fort Benning, Georgia. He was assigned to the USAMU and the Shotgun Section in February 2014.
Taylor earned his first National Skeet Shooting Association World Title in the 28 Gauge event 2010. In 2011 he became the first person to win the High Overall
title at the World Shoot with a perfect 450x450.He was also the youngest person in history to win this title with a perfect score. In 2014 he placed third at the Armed Forces Skeet Shoot in San Antonio, Texas.
He was also sixth at the Fall Selection match in Tiller, Arkansas November 15, 2014. He placed 1st in the doubles, 20 gauge, .410 bore, High Overall, and High
All Around at the Armed Forces Skeet Championships in Richmond, Va. He also placed 3rd overall at the National Championships in Colorado Springs, Colorado
securing him a place on the National Team. Some of his other achievements include 1st place at Fall Selection 2016, 2nd place Nationals 2016, 3rd place Miami
Cup 2017, 1st Place Miami cup 2018, and 2nd Place Nationals 2018, 1st place Team Championships of the Americas 2018. He was also 4th
in the Olympic selection procedure 2019.
His military schools include the Basic Leaders Course and Advanced Leaders Course.
