Command Sgt. Maj. Mitchell Turton

Command Sgt. Maj. Mitchell Turton is a native of Chicago, Illinois. He enlisted in the Army on June 16, 1994, and began basic training at Ft. Jackson, SC. Turton completed Advanced Individual Training at Ft. Gordon, GA as a signal support systems specialist. He was assigned to the U.S. Army Recruiting Command as an Army recruiter in 2000.

Turton has served in various locations throughout his Army career with assignments including 1/14 Field Artillery, Ft. Hood, TX; 92nd Military Police Company w/duty at Baumholder and Darmstadt Germany. While assigned to the 92nd MP Company, CSM Turton deployed in support of Operation Joint Endeavor to Bosnia & Herzegovina.  HHC 1/10th Aviation, Ft. Drum, NY; 49th Quartermaster Group, Ft. Lee, VA; Nashville Recruiting Battalion w/duty at Hopkinsville, KY; Alpha Company, 369th Signal Battalion, Ft. Gordon, GA; Nashville Recruiting Battalion w/duty at Madison, TN; Bravo Company, Training Support Battalion, Recruiting & Retention School (RRS), Ft. Jackson, SC; Baltimore Recruiting Battalion, w/duty at Fredericksburg, VA;  Mid-Atlantic Recruiting Battalion, w/duty at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ; Oklahoma City Recruiting Battalion, Oklahoma City, OK; United States Army Sergeants Major Academy, Ft.
