Medical Recruiting Brigade Commander

Col. Julie A. Hundertmark

Colonel Julie A. Hundertmark most recently served as the Command Surgeon for the Army Material Command and is the Family Medicine Consultant to the Army Surgeon General. She received her commission through the U.S. Army Health Professions Scholarship Program in 2001 to attend the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. Upon completion of her Doctor of Medicine in 2005, she was commissioned active duty in the U.S. Army Medical Corps.

COL Hundertmark went on to complete Family Medicine residency training at Martin Army Community Hospital at Fort Moore, Georgia, graduating in 2008. COL Hundertmark is a Board-Certified Family Medicine Physician and was awarded the Degree of Fellow by the American Academy of Family Physicians in 2017.
 
Her previous assignments and duties include: Commander of the 512th Field Hospital, Rhine Ordnance Barracks, Germany; Deputy Commander for Clinical Services and Chief Medical Officer, Munson Army Health Center, Fort Leavenworth, KS; Medical Corps Recruiting Integration Officer, Medical Recruiting Brigade, Fort Knox, KY; Deputy Commander for Clinical Services and Chief Medical Officer, California Medical Detachment, Presidio of Monterey, CA; Patient Centered Medical Home Physician Lead, Southern Region Medical Command; Faculty and Medical Student Director, Family Medicine Residency Program, Fort Moore, GA; Officer in Charge, Family Medicine Clinic, Fort Moore, GA; Battalion Surgeon, 215th Brigade Support Battalion, 3rd Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, Mosul Iraq; and Medical Director, Consolidated Troop Medical Clinic, Fort Moore, GA. COL Hundertmark currently serves as the Commander of the U.S. Army Medical Recruiting Brigade, Fort Knox, KY.

COL Hundertmark graduated from the AMEDD Officer Basic and Advanced Courses, Army Command and General Staff College, and Senior Service College.
Her awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (5 OLC), Army Commendation Medal (2 OLC), Joint Service Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal (3 OLC), Iraq Campaign Medal with two Campaign Stars, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal (1 OLC), Recruiting Badge, Surgeon General’s Physician Recognition Award, and she is a member of the Order of Military Medical Merit.
