Command Sgt. Maj. Danny A. Basham entered the Army, July 11, 2001, and attended One Station Unit Training at Fort Benning, Georgia as an 11B Infantryman. His first duty assignment was to 3rd Battalion, 187th Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
His last assignment was as the Analytics & Production Sergeant Major, Headquarters, U.S. Army Recruiting Command, Fort Knox, Kentucky. His previous assignments include Command Sergeant Major 6th Recruiting Brigade, Las Vegas, Nevada; Command Sergeant Major Central California Recruiting Battalion, NAS Lemoore, California; Operations Sergeant Major 3rd Recruiting Brigade, Fort Knox, Kentucky; HHC, HQ USAREC, Fort Knox, Kentucky; Special Operations Recruiting Battalion, Fort Campbell, Kentucky; Kansas City Recruiting Battalion; Milwaukee Recruiting Battalion; Chicago Recruiting Battalion; 3rd Brigade, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
Basham’s military education includes all levels of the Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development System, Sergeants Major Course, Nominative Leaders Course, Battalion and Brigade Pre-Command/ Development Courses, Recruiting Company Commander and First Sergeant Course, Master Resilience Trainer, Station Commander Course, Airborne School, Army Recruiter Course, and Air Assault School. He holds an associate’s degree in HVAC Technology from Jefferson College, a bachelor’s degree in theology and biblical studies from Liberty University, and a master’s degree in Christian ministry from Liberty University.
