Command Sgt. Maj. Jared Scott Bullock

Command Sgt. Maj. Jared Scott Bullock was born in Fountain Valley, California, and enlisted in the U.S. Army in 2006 from Lakewood, Ohio. He completed Basic Training at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, and graduated from Advanced Individual Training at Fort Bliss, Texas, as a Motor Transport Operator (88M).

Command Sgt. Maj. Bullock served as a Heavy Vehicle Operator at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, and deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom V from 2007 to 2008. He was then assigned to the 782nd Battalion Support Brigade, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, where he held positions as a Team Leader, Squad Leader, and Jumpmaster. He deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom X in 2012.

In 2013, Bullock volunteered for recruiting duty and was assigned as a recruiter to the Hamilton Recruiting Station, Cincinnati Recruiting Company, Columbus Recruiting Battalion. He then served as the Station Commander of the Lakewood Recruiting Station, Cleveland Recruiting Battalion. In 2019, he was assigned to the Recruiting and Retention College as an instructor and writer for the Army Recruiter Course at Fort Knox, Kentucky. He served as the Elizabethtown Recruiting Company First Sergeant, Nashville Recruiting Battalion, in 2020 and as the First Sergeant of the Long Beach Recruiting Company, Los Angeles Recruiting Battalion, in 2022. Upon graduation from the Sergeants Major Academy at Fort Bliss, Texas, in 2025, he was assigned as the Operations Sergeant Major for the Albany Recruiting Battalion. He now proudly serves as the Command Sergeant Major of the Oklahoma City Recruiting Battalion.

Command Sgt. Maj. Bullock's awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal (third oak leaf cluster), Army Commendation Medal (12th oak leaf cluster), Army Achievement Medal (13th oak leaf cluster), Army Good Conduct Medal (sixth award), and the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal. He was inducted into the USAREC Chapter of the prestigious Sergeant Audie Murphy Club in 2017. He also earned the Gold Recruiter Badge, Recruiter Ring, and the Master Recruiter Badge.

His military and civilian education includes the Warrior Leaders Course, Advance Leaders Course, Senior Leaders Course, Master Leaders Course (Commandant’s List), Sergeants Major Academy, Army Recruiter Course, Center Leader Course, Recruiting Company Commander First Sergeant Course, Basic Airborne School, Jumpmaster School, and Equal Opportunity Leaders Course, among others. Command Sgt. Maj. Bullock earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Post University and a master’s degree in leadership studies from The University of Texas at El Paso.
