Col. Ryan C. Kendall graduated from the United States Military Academy in 1999 and commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Aviation Branch.
Kendall’s assignments include: Assistant Squadron S3, 3-6 CAV, Camp Humphreys, Korea; Platoon Leader, R Troop, 3d ACR, Fort Carson, Colorado; Brigade HHT Commander, 21st Cavalry Brigade, Fort Cavazos, Texas; Air Cavalry and AVIM Troop Commander, 4th Squadron, 3d ACR, Fort Cavazos, Texas; Executive Assistant and Joint Exercise Planner, USCENTCOM J-7, MacDill Air Force Base, Florida; Squadron S3, 7-17 CAV and Brigade S3, 159th CAB, Fort Campbell, Kentucky; Military Fellow on the Chief of Staff’s Strategic Studies Group, Alexandria, Virginia; Squadron Commander, 2-6 CAV, 25th CAB, Wheeler Army Air Force Base, Hawaii; Deputy Director, Directorate of Concepts, at Army Futures and Concepts Center in Austin, Texas; and most recently as the 12th Combat Aviation Brigade Commander in Katterbach, Germany.
Kendall holds a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Texas LBJ School of Public Affairs and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Colorado, Denver. His military education includes the Aviation Officer Basic Course, the Career Course, Intermediate Level Education, Senior Service College, as well as Air Assault and Airborne Schools. Throughout his career, he has received numerous awards, decorations, and badges in recognition of his service and deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan.
