Command Sergeant Major Alberto Pena is a Brooklyn, New York native who enlisted in the U.S. Army and completed training at Fort Knox, Kentucky, and Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland.
His career includes assignments in South Korea, aviation support in Korea, and the Fort Sam Houston Caisson Platoon before transitioning to U.S. Army Recruiting in 2010. He has served as Recruiter, Station Commander, Assistant Operations NCO, Company First Sergeant, and Operations Sergeant Major, Battalion Command Sergeant Major, culminating in his current role as Brigade Command Sergeant Major.
CSM Pena has completed extensive military education, including the Sergeants Major Academy (Class 72), and holds an MBA while pursuing a Doctorate in Strategic Management.
