Welcome! You are about to become part of the Warrior Battalion - one of the finest recruiting organizations in the world. To ease your transition, there are many useful links on the Family Support page. Please feel free to contact your sponsor or incoming unit if you have not yet been contacted. Sponsorship is an important part of any move so if you do not have a satisfactory sponsorship experience, please inform your chain of command or the Soldier and Family Assistance representative.

Here are two typical questions we are often asked:

Q: Where will my dependents go for medical/dental/emergency support?
A: As a recruiter in Oregon, Guam, or Hawaii, you will use TRICARE Prime Remote because you may not be near a military base. This health care plan helps service members, and their families get the medical care they need when they live far away. when you in process please meet with or contact your BN SFA to explain how your family

Q: Where will I live while I am a Recruiter?
A: Housing is your decision.. Your sponsor can send you housing information well in advance so you can get a preview of cost and location. It is recommended that you live near your assigned recruiting station.

In-Processing Checklist

You must bring the following items with you at the time you in process:

  • Copies of your Orders & absence request
  • Any Travel Documents
  • PPM Move paperwork (Weight and Receipts)
  • DA Form 1059 from ARC/SCC/1SG/CC
  • Certificate from ARC/SCC/1SG/CC
  • DA Form 1059 from ALC/SLC/MLC
  • Certificate from SSD (2,3, or 4)
  • Valid Driver’s License (For S4)
  • Certificate for UPL/EO/SHARP/MRT

It is extremely important you have all the above required documents at the time of your in-processing. This is a large battalion. You may have a long drive back to your pinpoint assignment if you forget any of these documents. In-processing must be completed on the day you arrive at the battalion.

Family Services

If you are moving here from previous recruiting assignment, you are already used to the unique Army lifestyle. However, if you are new to recruiting, you will find this Army assignment is unique in many ways; one we hope you will enjoy and into which you can easily transition.
