Minneapolis Recruiting Battalion Command Sergeant Major

Command Sgt. Maj. Clint M. Clover

Command Sergeant Major Clint M. Clover enlisted as an Infantryman in the United States Army on the 14th of January 2004, in St. Louis, Missouri. He attended Basic and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Benning, Georgia. Upon graduation he was assigned to the 173rd Airborne Brigade in Vicenza, Italy.

Clover’s last assignment was a recruiting battalion Operations Sergeant Major. His previous assignments include: the 173rd Airborne Brigade where he served in Chosen Company as a rifleman, machine gunner & Team Leader; the 82nd Airborne Division as a Squad Leader, Platoon Sergeant & Operations NCOIC; the 3rd Recruiting Brigade, Chicago Battalion as a Recruiter & Center Leader; the 2nd Recruiting Brigade, Baton Rouge Battalion as a Station Commander & Interim First Sergeant, and the 5th Recruiting Brigade, Kansas City Battalion serving two companies over five years as a First Sergeant. Clover has also served three combat tours, one in support of Operation Enduring Freedom with the 173rd and two in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom with the 82nd.

He has held every leadership position from Team Leader to Command Sergeant Major. Clover’s military education includes all levels of the Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development System to include the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy (Class 73), Pre-Command Course, Command Sergeants Major Development Course, Airborne School, Javelin Course, Army Recruiter Course, and the Army Combatives Course. His civilian education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Leadership & Workforce Development from the Command and General Staff College and is a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt.

Clover’s awards and decorations include: Bronze Star Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal (1OLC): the Army Commendation Medal (1SOLC 1OLC) the Army Achievement Medal (4OLC); the Army Good Conduct Medal (6* Award): the National Defense Service Medal; the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, the Iraq Campaign Medal (with 2 Bronze Stars); the Afghan Campaign Medal (with 1 Bronze Star), the Overseas Service Ribbon (with Numeral 4), the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, the NCO Professional Development Ribbon (with Numeral 5), the Master Drivers Badge, the Army Recruiter Silver & Gold Badge, the Combat Infantryman Badge: The Expert Infantryman Badge, the Army Basic Parachutist Badge, and the Irish Foreign Parachutist Badge. CSM Clover is also a recipient of the U.S. Cavalry & Armor's Order of St George and the U.S. Infantry's Order of St. Maunce.
