Sgt. 1st Class Seth D. Inman

Team Chief

Sgt. 1st Class Seth Inman was born and raised in Lexington, Missouri. He attended Lexington High School and upon graduation in 2000, he moved to the Olympic Training Center to pursue his shooting career. Inman completed the IBEW/NECA NJATC Journeyman Electrician’s Course in Kansas City, Missouri 2007. In October 2011, Inman enlisted in the U.S. Army went to Infantry One Station Unit Training in Fort Benning, Georgia. Upon graduation, he was assigned to the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit’s Shotgun Team as a shooter/instructor.

 

Inman first started shooting through the Boy Scouts of America when he was 12 years old. This led to him competing in local, state and national matches through the Amateur Trapshooting Association. From 1995-2000, Inman made every Junior All-American Team. Inman began shooting USA Shooting events in 1998. Since then, he has made numerous teams through USA Shooting, including the National Team seven times.

 

Inman has graduated from the Advanced Leaders Course, Basic Leader Course, Combat Life Saver Course, and Resilience Enhancement Program Leader Development Course. In 2012, Inman deployed to Afghanistan in support of USAMU’s Training Mission.

 

His awards include two Army Commendation Medals, three Army Achievement Medals, four Army Good Conduct Medals, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal with a Combat Star, a National Defense Medal, a Global War on Terrorism Medal, two NCO Professional Development Ribbons, an Army Service Ribbon, and a NATO Medal. Inman also has one Superior Unit Award, an Expert Marksmanship Badge (rifle), and a German Armed Forces Schutzenschnur Gold Badge.
