Oct. 15, 2024 - In September, Soldier-Athletes of the U.S. Army tested their mettle against over 200 American athletes during the 2024 Strongman Corporation National Championships held at the Greenville Convention Center in Greenville, South Carolina. These athletic competitions allow Soldiers to support the overall Army recruiting mission by conveying to the greater public that the Army is an institution where individuals can serve the nation while also excelling in their individual passions.

June 20, 2024 - On June 13, 2024, before a large audience of supportive friends and family, Lt. Col. Lyndsey Thompson took command of the U.S. Army Accessions Mission Support Battalion (AMSB) of the U.S. Army Marketing and Engagement Brigade at Flagg Field in Fort Knox, Kentucky. She succeeds Lt. Col. Heather Schmitt, who has led the ‘Workhorse’ Battalion with dedication and distinction for the last two years.

Army Marksmanship Unit Hosts Army Wide Shooting Competition
March 26, 2024 - From March 10-16, 2024, the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit (USAMU), in collaboration with U.S. Army Maneuver Center of Excellence, hosted over 230 competitors from across the U.S. Army, U.S. Army Reserve, Reserve Officers’ Training Corps, National Guard, and the Air National Guard for the U.S. Small Arms Championships at Fort Moore, Georgia. The annual training event, commonly known as All Army allows Soldiers to test their mettle throughout the challenging, week-long competition in both rifle and pistol.

South Carolina National Guard Wins U.S. Army Small Arms Championships
Staff Sgt. John Jordan of the South Carolina National Guard won the title of 2024 All Army Champion at the U.S. Army Small Arms Championships at Fort Moore, Georgia March 10-16. Jordan’s team, South Carolina Alpha, also claimed the title of 2024 U.S. Army Small Arms Team Champions.
