Command Sgt. Maj. Claudia Whitney

Command Sgt. Maj. Claudia Whitney, a native of Anaheim, California. She enlisted in the US Army in 1998 while attending Anaheim High School. She attended basic training and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, and was awarded the MOS of 42A, Human Resource Specialist. Whitney has served in numerous leadership positions to include squad leader, recruiting station commander, senior master trainer, company first sergeant, and operations sergeant major.

Whitney’s stateside units of assignment include HHC Garrison, Fort Lee, Virginia; 76th Medical Group, Garden Grove, California; Jersey City Recruiting Station, Mid Atlantic Recruiting Battalion, New Jersey; Decatur Recruiting Station, Salt Lake City Recruiting Battalion, Utah; Recruiting and Retention College, Kentucky; 5th Recruiting Brigade Headquarters, Texas; Indy South Recruiting Company Headquarters, Indianapolis Recruiting Battalion, Indiana; El Paso, Texas and Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. She has also deployed to Kosovo for peacekeeping operations.

Whitney holds an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts from Waldorf University, a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration from Waldorf University, and a Master of Science in Management with a concentration in Organizational leadership from Excelsior University.

Whitney’s awards and decorations include: the Meritorious Service Medal (5th award), Army Commendation (3rd award), Army Achievement Medal (4th award), Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon (#5), Kosovo Campaign Medal w/ star, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, NATO Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal w/M devise, Overseas Service Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Army Superior Unit Award, Gold Recruiting Badge, and the Army Instructor Badge.
