Staff Sgt. Jared Desrosiers was born in Swansea, Massachusetts, and graduated from Joseph Case High School in Swansea. He enlisted on active duty in October 2017 and was assigned to the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit International Rifle Team as a shooter and instructor.
Desrosiers had a distinguished shooting career before joining the Army. He earned a team medal in international competition and was a Junior Olympic Champion.
