ABOUT US:

Headquartered in Denver, the battalion is one of the largest units within U.S. Army Recruiting Command, encompassing an area of more than 200,000 square miles. Overseeing operations across 39 recruiting centers located in Colorado; Nebraska; and parts of Wyoming, Denver Battalion’s primary mission is to discover and recruit the most qualified and eligible populations for service in the U.S. Army (active duty) and Army Reserve.

The responsibilities of the Denver Army Recruiting Battalion are many, but our primary reason for being is to recruit the highest quality individuals to meet the requirements of the U.S. Army and Army Reserve.

Lt. Col. Kevin Groppel, battalion commander, Chicago Recruiting Battalion, paddles his way to a win in the "Boat Wars" competition at Gammon Physical Fitness Center, Fort Knox, Kentucky, Sept. 22. The competition was part of a three-day training forum hosted by 3rd Recruiting Brigade to prepare for successful support to the Army’s 2020 recruiting goal.


Chicago BN Cdr paddling his way to a win in the Boat Wars competition. Chicago BN was 1st place winner, Battalion and Company Leadership teams from the U.S. Army 3rd Recruiting Brigade were brought to Fort Knox for a 3-day Training Forum to prepare them to be successful in helping to make the Army’s recruiting goal for 2020.
