Parachuting brought two generations together over the skies of Ohio
U.S. Army Parachute Team, the Golden Knights

During the Columbus Air Show, Sgt. Sloan Kanat of the U.S. Army Parachute Team, the Golden Knights, shared a unique jump with her mother, Kim Kanat of the Misty Blues All-Women Skydiving Team, during a baton pass demonstration from the team's DeHavilland Canada DHC-4 Caribou (DASH) aircraft. The jump marked a rare opportunity for mother and daughter to take part in the same aerial demonstration, combining a shared passion for skydiving with years of experience in the sport. As they exited the aircraft together and completed the baton pass, the moment served as a testament to the family ties and traditions that connect generations of parachutists. For both Sloan and Kim, the experience was more than just another jump; it was a chance to share a once-in-a-lifetime moment in the sky above Columbus.
