Las Vegas, Nevada –
The 6th Medical Recruiting Battalion proudly welcomes CPT Claudia Carrazco, who was commissioned into the U.S. Army Reserve as a 66S Critical Care Nurse. The ceremony was conducted by CPT Chris Cooper, a Soldier with the 7453rd Medical Operational Readiness Unit and Carrazco’s co-worker at the Carl T. Hayden Veterans Administration Hospital.
CPT Cooper played a pivotal role in mentoring Carrazco and guiding her decision to serve. His encouragement not only highlighted the opportunities within Army Medicine but also underscored the strength of professional mentorship in inspiring future officers.
Adding to the sense of family and commitment, CPT Carrazco’s son, Martin, also serves in the Army Reserve. Their shared dedication represents the legacy of service that strengthens the Army Medical Department and its mission.
