Lt. Col. Paul Kellmurray
Lieutenant Colonel Kellmurray commissioned through the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps at Niagara University in 2009 and began his career in the Air Defense Artillery. He currently serves in the Army’s newest basic branch, Space Operations. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Niagara University, a Master of Business Administration from Pepperdine University, a Master of Military Operational Art and Science from the Command and General Staff College, and a Master of Military Art and Science from the School of Advanced Military Studies.
His assignments include multiple operational assignments within the Air Defense Artillery; Assistant Professor of Military Science at the University of California, Los Angeles; Executive Officer to the G3 of the Space and Missile Defense Command; Deputy Chief of the Future Operations Branch at the Space and Missile Defense Command; Aide-de-Camp to the Commander, United States Space Command; and Lead United States Space Command Operational Plan (OPLAN) Planner. Lieutenant Colonel Kellmurray has deployed twice in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
Lieutenant Colonel Kellmurray’ s military awards and decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal (5 OLC), the Army Achievement Medal (2 OLC), the National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Army Service Ribbon, the Overseas Service Ribbon (2nd Award), the Joint Meritorious Unit Award, and the Meritorious Unit Commendation. He has also earned the Parachutist Badge and the Master Space Badge.
His military education includes the Air Defense Artillery Basic Officer Leaders Course, the Air Defense Artillery Captain’s Career Course, the Space Operations Officer Qualification Course, the Command and General Staff College, and the School of Advanced Military Studies.
