Dear Soldier and Family Members:
Congratulations on your assignment to the New England Recruiting Battalion, one of eight battalions in the 1st US Army Recruiting Brigade.

Area military installations that provide medical and other support services are: Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Maine, Hanscom Air Force Base in Massachusetts, and the Naval Health Clinic in Rhode island.
New England is a vacation and sports paradise. The numerous lakes and beaches provide an excellent opportunity for fishing, boating, and skiing trails and superb opportunities for camping and hunting. Rich with history, the area provides many educational opportunities for the whole family.
