Lansing, MI (4 Sep 2018) - Great Lakes Recruiting Battalion conducted a “Meet Your Army” Media Luncheon in their conference room at the Great Lakes Recruiting Battalion Headquarters, 31 August.
The event had 22 media members from various outlets in attendance. LTC Ryan Berdiner introduced the battalion FET and company leadership from across mid and western Michigan. We solicited the media’s assistance in bridging the gap between our Army and the American public in Michigan.
COL Eric Lopez, 3rd Recruiting Brigade Commander, conducted an interview with WLNS television (Lansing, MI), as well as a Facebook live feed interview with Fox 47 (Lansing, MI).
LTC Berdiner conducted a live feed interview with Q106 radio station in Lansing and a live radio interview on B103.9 in Big Rapids, MI. The same radio station also did a live radio interview with our FET team.
The Battalion will be conducting follow-up engagements with each media outlet as a way ahead for continued relationships and opportunities.
At an upcoming event, CSM Tabitha Gavia, USAREC Command Sergeant Major, will be the guest speaker at a media luncheon in Detroit, Michigan, on 30 October, sponsored by the Great Lakes Recruiting Battalion.
