Lt. Col. Christopher Collins

Lt. Col. Christopher Collins is a native of Aredale, Iowa. He enlisted in the Army in 1995, and later graduated from Tarleton State University, Texas in 2003 with a BS in Political Science. He received his commission as an Infantry and Military Intelligence branch detailed Officer.

His first assignment was to Fort Stewart, Georgia where he served as an Infantry Platoon Leader, Company Executive Officer, Mortar Platoon Leader, and Battalion Intelligence Officer (S2). He deployed to Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2005 and 2007 with the 4-64 AR BN. In 2009, he served as the commander of B. Co., 309th MI Battalion at Fort Huachuca, Arizona. Following command, he served as the Assistance S3 in the 304th MI Bat-talion. In 2011-2012, LTC Collins attended the National Intelligence University at the Defense Intelligence Agency. From 2013 to 2015, LTC Collins served as the Brigade Intelligence Officer for the 2D Engineer Brigade, U.S. Army Alaska. He deployed with Task Force Trailblazer to Operation Enduring Freedom in 2014. From 2015 to 2018, LTC Collins served as a Deputy Mission Crew Commander with the 138th MI Company, 116th MI Brigade (Aerial Intelligence) at Robins Air Force Base, Georgia. From 2018 to 2021, LTC Collins served in the 1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley, Kansas as the 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team Intelligence Officer (S2), Deputy Division Intelligence Officer (G2), Deputy Chief of Staff, and SHARP OIC. He deployed with the 1st Infantry Division to Operation Atlantic Resolve in 2019.

LTC Collins’s education includes a Masters of Strategic Intelligence from the National Intelligence University – Defense Intelligence Agency; Intermediate Level Education from the Army’s Command and General Staff College; MI Officer Advanced Course and IN Officer Basic Course, the U.S. Army Ranger School, and the U.S. Army Airborne School.

LTC Collins’s awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal (4 OLC), the Air Force Aerial Achievement Medal, the Army Commendation Medal (1 OLC), and the Army Achievement Medal (1 OLC).
